About Dr. Berke

Dr. Bill Berke is an optometric physician and orthokeratologist in private practice in Santa Ana, CA, since 1978.  He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control (FAAOMC) and the International Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control (FIAOMC).  We Want To Control Myopia Not Just Manage It!

Dr. Berke is the owner of the Super Vision Center.  The center offers full scope optometric examination and treatment services, huge eyewear showroom and an onsite lens grinding laboratory to control quality first and speed of eyewear fabrication.

Dr. Berke specializes in Orthokeratology.  Ortho-K is a revolutionary safe and effective, FDA approved procedure since 2002 that is a safe alternative to laser eye surgeries.

Dr. Berke leads in the field of Ortho-K with his newly patented lens designs and methods of fitting.  His lens design is strictly custom made and a One-Lens-One-Eye® design.  Dr. Berke is a fellow of the Academy and has lectured at the international forum more than ten years on the subject of OK and has published several papers and studies.  The results of his university study at the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, CA, have shed new light on the physiology of what really happens to the cornea from ortho-k.  Doctor Berke is one of the world’s few designers of Ortho-K corneal molds and holds several US patents on orthokeratological lens designs and methods of fitting therefor.
